Description
In this serigraph, Funny Cide is seen in his first moment of glory, winning the Kentucky Derby. Wearing his pole position, number 6, he is caught mid-air and mid-stride, hugging the rail in the home stretch. Jose Santos, the only jockey to ride Funny Cide, exhibits perfect form while wearing Sackatoga Stable's red and white checked silks. Horse and rider are a picture of determination and concentration. Running away from the pack, their gaze is directed straight ahead toward the finish line and history.
